About me

I am a software engineer and a computer science researcher by profession. My work in the software industry and academia has been in the areas of query processing, query optimization, distributed systems, internals of ETL/Change Data Capture tools, and program analysis and transformation. A large part of my short research career was spent on developing provably correct transformations and algorithms for optimizing database stored procedures, User-Defined Functions (UDFs) and applications that make use of imperative programming constructs along with SQL. I initiated the DBridge Project at IIT Bombay.

Now I am spending much of my time teaching and mentoring children from challenging socio-economic conditions. If you are interested to know more, see Sharada Pratibha Poshan Upakram. This work is being carried out in association with Rajalakshmi Children Foundation.
